Site Planning and Architectural Design

The layout of the house has been carefully designed to make the most of the site’s orientation and surroundings.

The main living areas are primarily oriented towards the south and west to maximise natural daylight and views. The bedrooms benefit from east and west orientations, while the kitchen faces east, enjoying the morning sun.

The design creates a sense of privacy along the access road while opening the house towards the south-western landscape. The upper floor has been deliberately kept compact in order to minimise its visual impact.

A small ancillary building (12 m²) is positioned along the northern boundary. With a height of less than 4 metres, it provides practical storage, particularly for equestrian equipment in connection with the neighbouring riding centre.

FAQ

Everything you need to know about Architecture & Bois

What types of architectural projects does Architecture & Bois undertake?

Which regions do you work in?

We design projects throughout France and internationally. Our practice is most active in the Greater Paris region and the Rhône-Alpes region, where we have offices. Construction supervision is entrusted to trusted local project managers, either from our network of partners or based in the region where the project is located.

Why hire an architect to design a bespoke home?

Hiring an architect means choosing a home designed entirely around your needs, lifestyle, site, budget and aspirations. Every project is unique, carefully balancing architectural quality, functionality, performance, durability and long-term property value.
